Alternative Medicines Kerala Ayurveda Q2 net at Rs 26.97 lakh Our Bureau
Bangalore , Nov. 3 Kerala Ayurveda Pharmacy Ltd, provider of entire range of Ayurveda products and services, said its June-September quarter made a Rs 26.97-lakh net profit, recovering from a loss of Rs 4.11 lakh during the same period in 2005. KAPL recorded a 94 per cent growth in its revenue at Rs 5.4 crore during the second quarter this year . Cumulative revenues for the six months ending September of the current fiscal stood at Rs 9.91 crore, rise of 79 per cent on Q2, 2005. The period also saw KAPL making a positive turnaround to post a Rs 51.43-lakh net profit against a loss of Rs 8.99 lakh for the corresponding period in the previous year. Mr Sonjoy Mohanty, Managing Director, said the company would be investing significantly across the value chain to consolidate further and create a national footprint. "We are planning to set up 100 clinics by the end of 2007," he added. Some of the decisions taken during the last quarter are expected to help KAPL further consolidate its strength he said adding that during the period the company opened five new clinics in Chennai and Bangalore, started a new academy in New York while adding a new treatment facility at Ayurvedagram in Bangalore.
