Airlines States - Tamil Nadu Paramount adds 3 new South destinations Our Bureau
Chennai , Nov. 3 Paramount Airways, which has inducted its fifth Embraer aircraft, will be flying to three new destinations in the south - Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupathi, taking the total number of destinations that the airline connects to 48, according to Mr M. Thiagarajan, Managing Director, Paramount Airways. The airline completed one year of operations last month and plans to add new routes to its network. The new routes will connect Hyderabad and Bangalore, Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, Bangalore and Hyderabad and Coimbatore and Bangalore. Mr Thaigarajan said that the airline will start a mid-day departure to Coimbatore from Chennai from November 8, an early morning connection to Kochi, as well as the fourth service to Hyderabad. The total fleet strength by 2009 will be 20 aircraft, he said. The list price of the new Embraer is about $35 million and will be funded partially by internal accruals and from private equity, Mr Thaigarajan said
