Natco to supply more to Akorn

Natco Pharma Ltd has added two injectable drug products to its existing active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) under the API supply and margin sharing agreement entered into with Akorn Inc of the US.

With this, the total number of products covered under the agreement goes up to four, according to a company press release here on Friday.

Under the signed in April 2006, Natco will be responsible for the supply of APIs for both thedrug products. Akorn, on the other hand, would be responsible for manufacturing, regulatory submissions, marketing and distribution.

Akorn has agreed to do it in hospitals, clinics and home healthcare markets in the US and Canada. The two injectable drug products are indicated for the prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with cancer chemotheraphy.
