USL India Ltd has launched copy protected blank media CD on which files and applications can be written, which can only be read but copying options such as save as, copy/paste, e-mail, print screen are prevented. Once the files are written, the resultant CD would be copy protected, the company said in a statement.

The blank media CD has a pre-written session compiling of DiscKeeper security elements leaving 600 MB of space free for writing your digital content using proprietary writing software. These CDs are fully compliant with the Orange Book standard and can be read on any standard CD/DVD reader/writer. Almost any document in PDF, DOC, XLS, PPT, JPG, BMP, MP3, HTML, MPG, AVI, RTF, SWF, FLV can be copy protected, the company said.
