BoI to open more branches

Visakhapatnam, Nov. 5

Bank of India, Visakhapatnam zone, is planning to open three or four more branches in Visakhapatnam and the two Godavari districts, according to Mr D.V.S.K Murthy, the Zonal Manager. The zone, comprising seven coastal districts from Srikakulam to Guntur, has 47 branches and it did business of Rs 1,567 crore as on October 31 and earned an operating profit of Rs 32 crore. Later this month the extension counter at Gandhinagar (Vijayawada) would be upgraded into a full-fledged branch.
