Shipping Marketing - New Products & Services Mitsui to start new service Our Bureau
The proposed service will be in addition to the shipping line's existing Nhava Sheva Express (NSX) service with port rotation of Singapore-Colombo-Nhava Sheva International Container Terminal (NSICT)-Singapore and Singapore Chennai Express (SMX) service having a port rotation of Penang-Singapore-Port Kelang-Chennai-Penang. The Japanese shipping line's proposed service (NSX2) is expected to provide the fastest transit time between NSICT and Port Kelang/Singapore in the Straits of Malacca. The port rotation will be Port Kelang-Singapore-NSICT-Port Kelang. Thus, the distance from Port Kelang to NSICT will be covered in eight days and from Singapore to NSICT in six days, while the distance from NSICT to Port Kelang will be covered in five days. The new service (NSX2) starts with the vessel, m.v. Warnow Trader, departing Singapore on November 18 and departing NSICT on November 25, the sources added.
