Mobile tech centre in Kolkata

WIP (Wireless Innovation Platform) Labs of Denmark will set up a mobile technology centre in Kolkata at an investment of Rs 200 crore in the next two years, the West Bengal Chief Minister, Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, told newspersons at Writers' Buildings after a meeting with representatives of the company. The centre will come up at a 20-acre plot at New Town Rajarhat. It will be engaged in the creation of intellectual property rights (IPR) in mobile technology. The first IPR product is expected in 2008-09.
