Travel & Places Info-Tech - Software States - Karnataka Tool to screen Haj applicants Our Bureau
Due to lack of a proper database, about 30 per cent of applicants manage to get past the stipulation and deprive the first-time applicants the opportunity to go on the pilgrimage. The software will enable the Hajis to apply online for easy processing, said the Karnataka Minister of State for Haj, Mr Zulfikar Ahmed. Mr Samiualla, Director, Synte Solution, said the company would be incorporating an additional feature of tracking the Hajis while on third visit. He said the company was also planning to integrate the software with the Consulate General's office in Jeddah through the Web to enable the pilgrims' relatives to keep track of them.
