IIML invests in Digital Shoppy

Digital Shoppy, a consumer durables retail chain, has concluded a private equity placement of Rs 17.50 crore with Leverage India Fund, managed by IL&FS Investment Managers Ltd (IIML).

The retail chain, which operates 22 outlets in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, said this is the first private equity transaction in the consumer electronics retailing space in India.

IIML is a large domestic private equity firm with a fund size of $900 million.
