New Delhi , Nov. 9

, Finnair, the national airline of Finland, is keen to operate flights to more destinations here, the airline President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr Jukka Hienonen, has said.

"We want to fly to new destinations here because we believe in the country's strong economic growth and expanding travel market. Besides, Finnish companies have tens of factories and sales offices here and Indian companies have strong ties to European markets," said Mr Hienonen.

The airline that currently operates three-times-a-week between Delhi and Helsinki offers quick connections to countries in north Europe. It has already announced that it would operate five-times-a-week on the route from next summer.
