Our Bureau

Hyderabad , Nov. 10

Wipro is keen on playing a bigger role in the larger format version of the Bhu Bharati project, which seeks to modernise land administration system.

The Chairman of Wipro, Mr Azim Premji, evinced keen interest in understanding the Project called Integrated Land Information System (ILIS), during his visit to the Survey, Settlement and Land Records Department and interaction with its Commissioner, Mr Vinod Agrawal on Friday.

Wipro is already associated with the project, which has been implemented on a pilot scale in Nizamabad district. The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, has recently announced its expansion to five more districts in future.

Under ILIS, it is aimed to use latest technology to clearly demarcate and describe all the properties, conclusively recording the titles of these properties, reforming the registration system etc. in an integrated manner.
