NIIT has announced the launch of NetworkLABS, a specialised training programme that caters to learners in networking and infrastructure management technologies.

"The industry is facing an acute shortage of skilled professionals in the networking & infrastructure management space," said Mr G. Raghavan, President Individual Learning Business, NIIT.

As per the IDC survey, there will be a need for 3,75,000 skilled professionals in this space, with the shortfall estimated at nearly one lakh skilled professionals by 2009.

The curriculum has been designed in partnership with global technology leaders such as 3Com, CompTIA, Intel and Microsoft, as per industry requirements. NIIT also has placement partnerships with IT organisations to absorb the students in relevant career openings.
