Supply Chain Management Concor, Seaways tie up for new service Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Nov. 10 Container Corporation of India Ltd (Concor), a public sector undertaking, and the Hyderabad-based Seaways Shipping Ltd, have entered into a joint working agreement to offer complete logistics services facilitating exports from Punjab to Chittagong in Bangladesh. "The exporters can now book their cargo with either Concor or Seaways offices nearest to them and pick up containers from the depot at Phillaur for factory stuffing," Mr P. Vivek Anand, Director of Seaways group, said here in a press release. "They can return the fully loaded containers to the depot. They will be carried on Concor rail service from Phillaur to Majarhat and then to the Kolkata port for loading on the vessels for shipment to Chittagong port. This would ensure the shortest transit time and hassle-free transactions with a provision for tracking of goods while in transit," the statement adds.
