Logistics - E-Commerce & E-Business
Response to e-commerce solutions

INTTRA's desktop solution, an offline PC application for creating shipping documents and booking for transfer to carriers by e-mail or Web services, has evoked good response in the Indian market, with a business growth of more than 100 per cent since the beginning of this year. India has emerged as INTTRA's fourth largest market in the Asia-Pacific region.

This is presumably because, from an e-commerce perspective, the country comprises many medium-size forwarders as well as large international logistics service providers, all managing export-related activities and the extension of e-commerce capabilities to them is believed to have increased their efficiency. INTTRA desktop is thus used by a large number of exporters and forwarders in India. With 22 of the world's largest ocean carriers in its network, representing 61 per cent of the ocean freight capacity among the world's top carriers, INTTRA, founded in 2000 and headquartered in Parsipenny, NJ, is a global provider of e-commerce solutions to ocean carriers and their customers.
