AIMS observes Diabetes Day

A three-day academic and cultural programme is being organised by the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS) here as part of the World Diabetes Day that began today.

A free medical exhibition was arranged at Dental College, AIMS, on Sunday while a variety of competitions would be conducted for medical and dental students on Monday.

The cultural meeting on Tuesday will be inaugurated by the State Governor, Mr R.L. Bhatia. The Ernakulam District Collector, Mr A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish, and the Federal Bank Chairman, Mr M. Venugopal, are among those who would attend the programmes.
