Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 13

State Bank of India Officers' Association (Kerala Circle) and Terumo Penpol are jointly planning to observe World AIDS Day on December 1. The aim is to highlight the fact that voluntary non-remunerated blood donors are the foundation of a safe blood supply since they have lower levels of infections, including HIV and hepatitis viruses, transmitted through transfusion. The Air Marshal, Mr P.S. Ahluwalia, Air Officer Commanding, Southern Air Command, Thiruvananthapuram, will be the chief guest on the occasion. Mr S. Vinaya Chandran, President of State Bank of India Officers Association (Kerala Circle) will preside. Mr C. Balagopal, Managing Director, Terumo Penpol, will deliver the keynote address.
