Training in retailing skills

The Retailers Association of India (RAI) has commenced professional retailing skills (PRS), a programme designed for imparting retail learning. The PRS programme, which was launched in association with S.B. Global School of Retail Management, Kochi, is a 100-hour course with an internship in a RAI member company for 50 hours. On completion of it, each candidate will be placed at an entry level in modern retailing as retail sales associate and customer service professionals. Mr Gibson G. Vedamani, CEO, RAI, said the association had made efforts to develop the right learning and training modules.
