ESPN STAR Sports gets rights

ESPN STAR Sports has bagged the live telecast rights of the French Open Grand Slam for the next five years for South Asia.

The rights will be exclusive to ESPN from the Rolland Garros championship in May-June, 2007. ESPN and STAR Sports already have the rights to the Australian Open, the Wimbledon, ATP Masters Series, and the Tennis Masters Cup among other tournaments.
