Karnataka Bank offers new facility

Karnataka Bank Ltd has enabled its real time gross settlement (RTGS) facility - MoneyQuick - under Internet banking.

A bank release said here that customers using the bank's Internet banking facility would be able to transfer funds from their account to their or third party accounts at RTGS-enabled branches of other banks across the country.

This online transfer of funds facility through Internet banking is provided in tune with the changing demands and preferences of its customers and in pursuit of its endeavour to improve customer satisfaction.

Another release said that the bank has joined hands with Allahabad Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Dabur Investment Corporation and Sompo Japan Insurance Inc for forming a non-life insurance company. The proposed company shall be called Universal Sompo General Insurance Company Ltd. Karnataka Bank will have 15 per cent stake in the company, it added.
