Mumbai, Nov. 16

Centurion Bank of Punjab (CBoP) has tied up with software services company SAS Institute India Pvt Ltd to strengthen its customer services. The "SAS Banking Intelligence solution suite" will help the bank in customer segmentation, identification of vulnerable customers and prediction of the most likely purchases of the customer.

"The bank can now get access to customer analytics thus enabling it in identification of potentially profitable products across its customer base. The solution will also strengthen our customer acquisition strategy,'' said Mr Vivek Vig, Country Head-Retail Bank, CBoP. This software solution will centralise data quality and help banks in knowing their customers, said Mr Sudipta K. Sen, CEO and Managing Director, SAS Institute (India). The company has tie-ups with ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank and IDBI, among others.
