Our Correspondent

Madurai, Nov. 17

The Tamil Nadu Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by its President, Mr S. Rethinavelu, met the Minister for Local Administration, Mr M. K. Stalin, during his recent visit to the city and submitted a memorandum seeking expeditious steps for implementation of Ellis Nagar rail overbridge. The overbridge was approved at the co-ordination meeting held at the District Collectorate during March last. The memorandum has also sought for early shifting of the central vegetable market to a convenient place outside the city. It urged the Minister to build a

multi-storeyed vehicle parking facility at the site for those visiting Meenakshi Temple through out the year.
