EVA Airways signs contract with Kale

EVA Airways Corporation, a part of Taiwan's Evergreen Group, has signed a five-year contract with Kale, an Indian IT solution provider for travel and transportation industry, for implementing APEX, the industry-standard proration solution. (APEX is one of two proration engines chosen by International Air Transport Association for neutral fare proration in AIS' first and final interline billing service.) EVA Airways has selected APEX for automating passenger ticket proration and Kale has commenced the implementation. It is scheduled to go live by the end of this year. Mr Steve Shiau, Head of Revenue Audit Department of EVA Airways, in a release said that it would be vital to strengthen the company's relationship with interline partners. "Efficient interline billing process is critical for the success of such relationships. "The solution would also help us provide timely and actionable MIS to our top management and other departments," he said.
