Meet to examine commodities' economic value

Gujarat and commodities of special interest to the State will be focus of attention at the first regional conference on "Commodities as an investment opportunity" organised by Radical Communications and to be held in Ahmedabad during November 24-25.

In addition to highlighting Gujarat as a commodity market leader (the largest producer of cotton, groundnut, castorseed, cuminseed and large buyer of bullion), the meeting will examine why commodities are critical for the country's economic growth.

Price outlook

Experts will present fundamental and technical analysis of the bullion market. An expert panel will present a price outlook for major commodities.

Mr Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, Gujarat's Minister for Agriculture, will inaugurate the event and Mr Avinash Kumar, Secretary, Department of Agriculture will deliver the keynoter address. Mr Lamon Rutten, Joint Managing Director of MCX, will share his expert views on the commodity futures market.

Physical market players representing processing industry, domestic trade as also export and import activities, derivatives traders, investors and service providers are expected to participate.
