FLOCKING CONSUMERS: The annual groundnut fair in Bangalore, generally held in the third week of November every year, opened on Monday. Groundnut varieties from all over the South, including Krishnagiri; Salem; Chittoor; and neighbouring towns of Kanakapura and Magadi have been brought to the fair. Thousands of people flock to the fair to taste the varieties that are boiled, roasted or fried. The groundnuts are being sold at an average Rs 10 per kg.
