Agri-Biz & Commodities - Rubber
Spot rubber remains static

Aravindan

Kottayam , Nov. 21

Spot rubber continued to rule flat on Tuesday. Trading activities were dull as there were no quantity sellers in the market due to tight supply. But the undercurrent was not firm as all major international indices lost further on all-round selling pressure lacking support from major consuming countries.

Futures decline

Futures dropped further in the domestic commodity exchanges. RSS 4 declined to Rs 76.80 (Rs 78.39) a kg trading 541 (285) lots in its December delivery on MCX. On NMCE, the December contract declined to Rs77.65 (Rs 78.29), January to Rs 78.05 (Rs 79.15), February to Rs 79.89 (Rs 80.62) and March contract to Rs 81.40 (Rs 82.10) per kg for RSS 4. Spot prices (Rs a kg) were: RSS-4: Rs 79 (Rs 79); RSS-5: Rs 77 (Rs 77); ungraded: Rs 74.50 (Rs 75); ISNR 20: Rs 77 (Rs 77) and latex 60 per cent: Rs 50.50 (Rs 50.50).
