Tata Indicom crosses 1.5-m mark

Telecom services provider Tata Indicom has achieved its highest ever acquisition of new subscribers in Andhra Pradesh in October with 1.15 lakh new connections taking its overall subscriber base to over the 15-lakh (1.5 million) in the State.

The Circle Operating Officer-Andhra Pradesh, Tata Teleservices Ltd, Mr Sanjeev Khera, in a statement said, "The launch of `Non Stop Mobile' Service in 2005 has accelerated our growth across the country and it was sustained by the equally popular products and services that we offered from time to time. Recent offer of Motorola 150i for Rs 1,099 evoked tremendous response from the market."
