Hyderabad , Nov. 22

The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, will deliver the inaugural address at the Global Logistics Summit to be held at Indian School of Business (ISB), here during December 5-6. Several well-known business leaders, academicians and senior officials have agreed to be Session Anchors and Speakers at the Summit.

The Summit is being organised by the Centre for Global Logistics and Manufacturing Strategies (GLAMS) at the ISB in association with the Hero Mindmine Institute. The theme of the Summit is "Logistics for Global Competitive Advantage and Rural Growth".

The Summit also marks the five-year celebrations of ISB. It will explore the challenges and opportunities of rural as well as global supply chain networks in India, according to a release from ISB.

The use of streamlined supply chain processes and organised logistics in the rural areas will enable shrinking of the bottom of the pyramid and increase the penetration levels of many products to the rural areas.
