USE AS FUEL: Coconut oil being sold at a processing mill in Kochi, Kerala. Coconut oil prices have begun to gain as prices of all edible oils have increased on demand exceeding supply. Higher crude prices and use of vegetable oil for bio-diesel are reasons for higher demand. On Wednesday, coconut oil for immediate delivery in Kochi was quoted at Rs 5,450 a quintal against Rs 4,300 at the beginning of the year.
