Chennai , Nov. 22 Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 50.20 crore for the quarter-ended September, against Rs 16.90 crore in the corresponding period of last year. The increase was partly because of a Rs 32.50-crore profit the company booked on sale of its 33 per cent stake in the Lanka Hospitals Corporation Ltd. The company, apart from owning/managing 41 hospitals with over 7,000 beds and 80 clinics, also runs 350 pharmacies. A company press release said that it would add 900 beds and 100 pharmacies in the current year. A 250-bed super speciality hospital at Bangalore is ready for commissioning. The company is close to commencing construction of a multi-speciality hospital in Bhubaneshwar, the release says.
