Events Managing in transient times Our Bureau
Chennai , Nov. 23 Transience pervades every aspect of our work lives. Organisational identities are transient given the huge growth and constant "morphing" of organisations through M&As and so are structures, given the constant need to respond to the demands of the market place. Employment structures too are not the same, thanks to new arrangements such as temping and leasing. Everyone from a CEO to the lowest front-line employee can be on lease. And, even workplace relationships are transient, given the unprecedented levels of attrition organisations are experiencing. Totus Consulting, a strategic HR consulting company, is organising a one-day event titled "Managing in Transient Times" on November 25 to debate this theme. Totus is bringing together over 80 professionals from diverse fields such as business leadership, HR, consulting, behavioural sciences, counselling, sociology and even spirituality to discuss and deliberate on the theme. The quest is to find ways of working well with transience rather than lament about its ills.
