New Products & Services Variety - Entertainment & Leisure Discovery Travel & Living launches Indian Rendezvous Our Bureau

Bangalore , Nov. 23 Discovery Travel & Living announced the launch of Indian Rendezvous - a six-part series capturing the sights and sounds of Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai. This weekly half-hour episode will be telecast on Sundays at 8.30 p.m. and will be hosted by well-known personalities from each city - Vasundhara Das, Sushma Reddy, Ayaan Ali Khan, Nagesh Kukunoor, Konkana Sen Sharma and Meera Vasudevan, respectively. The series will be premiered on November 26 starting with Bangalore. Mr Deepak Shourie, EVP and Managing Director, Discovery Networks India, said: "Indian Rendezvous promises viewers, both in India and abroad, an unparalleled journey into the best of India's biggest cities. It reflects the vibrant spirit and soul of modern India." Apart from Indian Rendezvous, Travel & Living will also feature other programmes related to India - one of which is `Matter of taste' on Indian food, hosted by Mr Vir Sanghvi. About 20 hours of India related programming is under production. The television channel also plans to bring out some of its content in the DVD format.
