New Products & Services Xenos Tech launches tyre monitoring system Our Bureau,
Banglaore , Nov. 23 Xenos Technologies, a group company of automotive products major Pricol, has launched a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), suitable for passenger cars, sports utility vehicles and light motor vehicles. The Xenos TPMS consists of two units, a display and sensor. The sensors are fitted to car tyres. In case of low pressure, high temperature or rapid leakage of air these sensors alert the driver eliminating life threatening accidents like a tyre burst. The display unit is stuck below the rear view mirror. The Xenos TPMS is priced at Rs 12,500. It will be distributed through the company's marketing and distribution network. With the Xenos TPMS, one has the option of setting alarm levels at varying conditions such as high temperature, high pressure, three levels of low pressure and rapid leakage making it flexible and safe. This helps in customising the system to the car depending on tyre position and car model. The Xenos TPMS reacts within 0.05 seconds by sounding an alarm to a tyre pressure related problem. It monitors the tyres continuously, enabling quick reaction time. This constant monitoring also increases fuel mileage and vehicle control. It does not need re-installation when the tyres are changed - it only needs to be reset.
