The Hindu Business Line : Sanghvi jewellery mall in Vizag

Sanghvi jewellery mall, the first one here to be certified by the International Gemological Institute, will be opened here on Sunday by cine star Sneha, according to Mr Suresh Jain, a partner of the firm. At a press meet here on Friday, he said the IGI's mobile lab had certified the jewellery and the customer could be sure of getting his, or her, money's worth. He said Rs 7 crore had been invested on the mall. The mall would provide the customers "quality products, unique designs and excellent service," he added.

Ms Marissa Martis, Head of the IGI's mobile lab, said the IGI lab had been set up in Mumbai and to meet the requirements of jewellers all over the country the mobile lab with the technicians was being used. "We charge Rs 400 per carat and jewellery will have to be judged on 14 parameters. Diamond jewellery will have to be certified on the basis of cut, carat, clarity and colour," she explained.
