Business Models Industry & Economy - Education States - Karnataka B-school Insead selects Zyme Solutions' model as case study Our Bureau
Bangalore , Nov. 26 Insead, a leading graduate business school, has selected Zyme Solutions and its outsourcing business model in the area of distribution channel analytics as the subject of a business case study authored by Christoph H. Loch, Professor of Technology Management, and Yaozhong Wu, Ph.D. candidate in Technology and Operations Management. The case examines the concept of outsourcing, a mission-critical business problem to create additional value relative to in-house alternatives, while freeing up employees to analyse results and make better business decisions rather than focusing on narrow, task-based execution. The case classifies Zyme as a "high-value outsourcer" that replaces an often incomplete, internal technology-based solution with a comprehensive solution for distribution channel visibility. "The company is a real innovator in the realm of high-value outsourcing. "We explored this concept of high-value outsourcing and examined how companies can turn over a mission-critical process to a third party to create greater value for both themselves and the outsourcer," said Prof Loch. Mr Chandran Sankaran, CEO of Zyme, said, "Companies are tired of vendors offering piecemeal solutions to their problems. Zyme's fully outsourced service approach lets us take on and solve problems more completely on behalf of our clients. "With Zyme's outsourced channel visibility and validation services for instance, we do all the work gathering and analysing distribution sales data everyday, and our clients are able to use the cleansed and digested information we send them to control program expenditures, and make more informed financial and operational decisions."
