New unit: Toyota final plans soon

Toyota Kirloskar Motor today said it hopes to finalise plans for setting up a new plant in six months time, adding that it is still working out details on its proposed small car project in the country.

"At this stage, nothing is finalised on the new plant but we hope to take a decision in six months," the Toyota Kirloskar Motor Vice-Chairman, Mr Vikram Kirloskar, said on the sidelines of the India Economic Summit here. He added that the company has not shelved the small car plans for India. However, it has not finalised anything on this front and was weighing various options.
