New Delhi, Nov. 27

Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) on Monday said it has bagged a Rs 129-crore captive power plant project from Hindustan Zinc Ltd (HZL). The power plant would cater to the requirements of HZL's unit at Jawar mines at Udaipur in Rajasthan, a BHEL release said.

The project, the third consecutive one from Hindustan Zinc, entails design, engineering, manufacture, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the plant, it said.

BHEL had earlier executed a turnkey order for two units of 77 MW each at HZL's captive power plant at Chanderia lead zinc smelter plant in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. It is also executing another order from HZL for one unit of 80 MW at the same plant, it said.
