Rubber Spot rubber firms up Aravindan
Kottayam , Nov. 27 Spot rubber firmed up on Monday. The under current appeared firm as TOCOM closed better initiating some procuring at lower levels. Sheet rubber improved to Rs 77 from Rs 76.50 a kg both at Kottayam and Kochi reacting in favour of futures. The domestic markets were under the grip of unhealthy speculation, sources alleged.
Futures recover
In futures, both international and domestic prices recovered mainly led by a technical bounce back after a bear spell, according to Mr. Sajilnath, Geojit. The December contract for RSS 4 improved to Rs 79.30 a kg from Rs.73.35 a kg, while the transactions for the month stood at 474 (281) tonnes on MCX. On NMCE, the December contract flared up to Rs 80 (Rs 73.88), January contract to Rs 79.19 (Rs 72.66), February to Rs 80.17 (Rs 73.56) and March to Rs 81 (Rs 74.54) per kg for RSS 4 following an almost panic buying from traders. The volumes totalled 5,914 (1, 341) tonnes. Spot prices per kg were: RSS-4: Rs 77.00 (Rs 76.50); RSS-5: Rs 75.00 (Rs 74.50); ungraded: Rs 72.00 (Rs 71.50); ISNR 20: Rs 74.50 (Rs 74.50) and latex 60 per cent: Rs 48.40 (Rs 48.40).
