Mumbai , Nov. 27

The Convention on Pharmaceutical Ingredients (CPhI), an international convention organised by CMP, with the Indian Pharmaceutical Congress (IPC), will be held here from December 1-3.

"The uniqueness of CPhI this year is that it has been clubbed together with IPC. This gives more companies the opportunity to interact and do business with each other," said Mr M. Gandhi, Managing Director, CMP India.

The Indian Pharmaceutical Congress is an annual gathering of CEOs and top executives, officials from regulatory departments, pharmacists from the trade, R&D personnel, pharmaceutical consultants, hospital administrators, top officials of Central and State agencies and academicians.

More than 500 exhibitors from 30 countries are expected at the convention.

"We plan to make this an annual event in India,'' said Mr Gandhi.

CPhI started in 1990 and takes place annually in Madrid, Paris and Milan.
