Opinion - Letters
Sugar industry

This is with respect to "Sweet news for farmers," (Business Line, November 27). The corporate sector in Uttar Pradesh has made good use of the opportunity made available to it.

Due to their entrepreneurial skills, the general public and the farmers are seeing a revival and an increase in their disposable incomes.

This is an eye opener for the rest of the entrepreneurial class, especially in Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra.

The horticultural produce that the two States boast of could be one such opportunity.

It is necessary for the entrepreneurial class to replicate the UP model elsewhere.
