All-India Anchor oral health survey launched

The Indian Dental Association (IDA), with the help of Anchor Oral Care and the Ministry of Health andFamily Welfare launched the Anchor all India Oral Health Survey on Tuesday.

The Governor of Maharashtra, Mr S.M. Krishna, announced the survey covering over 40 cities, 500 villages, 5,000 schools and 120 Government, public and private offices and will include dental check up camps spread over 45 days.

"Ninety per cent of Indians suffer from various types of dental and oral diseases. We would like to highlight the fact that oral diseases can be prevented," said Mr Krishna.

The data collected will be published in a directory and serve as a database for the IDA dentists, pharmaceutical companies and equipment suppliers. A three-year Anchor Wellness Initiative was also announced.
