In what can be seen as an indication of the increasing emphasis on business in India in the curricula of leading business schools globally, French business school, Insead, is in the process of establishing a centre for entrepreneurship in the country.
The centre would be coming up in either Mumbai or Bangalore by early next year.
It would help Insead to work/partner with businesses in India, Professor Hellmut Schutte, Senior Affiliate Professor, International Management, Insead (Singapore), said.
He was speaking on the sidelines of the India Economic Summit.
Apart from establishing linkages with businesses, the centre would also serve to provide case studies/live examples, which could be incorporated in teachings at Insead.
Earlier this year, as part of its plan to create an entrepreneurship network that spans the globe, Insead officially opened its first Regional Research Centre in Israel.
The centres will be part of the Rudolf and Valeria Maag International Centre for Entrepreneurship at Insead.
