Mangalore , Nov. 30 Tanker Viktor Titov - carrying 89,059 tonnes of crude from Sakhalin-I project for Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Ltd - will berth at the New Mangalore port on Friday morning. Sources in the New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) told Business Line that the tanker would start discharging as soon as it berths. By the time the formal function begins on December 2, it will be in the final stage.
A formal function to receive the Sakhalin crude will be held on December 2. ONGC Videsh, the overseas arm of ONGC, holds 20 per cent stake in Sakhalin-I project. Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), a subsidiary of ONGC, will process the Sakhalin crude at its plant here.
