AP firm on Kakinada SEZ: CM

Chief Minister Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has said that the State Government is keen on getting an SEZ at Kakinada and will make all efforts to persuade ONGC to go ahead with the proposal in accordance with the MoU, though the latter has some reservations on the economic feasibility of the project. Dr Reddy told newspersons that the State Government had apprised Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and the Petroleum Minister of the issue and the possible ramifications. He added that there was no problem with land acquisition for SEZs in the State.
