Trend Micro to focus on spyware threat

Innovative Web-threat protection technology appears to be the key-growth driver for network anti-virus company — Trend Micro. The company on Friday announced its 3-year investment in a portfolio of products to address the spyware threat. Its anti-spyware product revenue growth has been estimated at over 250 per cent year-on-year. The company is expecting Web-infections to surpass e-mail infections. Stating that Web-borne traffic menace like spyware caused concern among organisations, IDC research manager, Mr Brian Burke, said, `Web-security solutions such as those from Trend Micro would become invaluable against web-based malware attacks '
