National meet on plantation crops

A national symposium — the 17th plantation crops symposium, on "Plantation crops for sustaining ecosystems" will be held here from December 5 to 8.

The symposium organised by the Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode, and the Indian Cardamom Research Institute (ICRI), Myladumparai, of the Spices Board will highlight the relevance of plantation crops in restoring the quality of environment, ICRI sources told Business Line.

It is expected to provide opportunities for interaction among scientists, extension personnel and all stakeholders in plantation sector.
