AP in tie-up with PAC for aptitude tests

Our Bureau

Hyderabad , Dec. 4

The Professional Aptitude Council (PAC) today announced its partnership with the Directorate of Collegiate Education (DCE), Andhra Pradesh, that would help those seeking jobs, particularly in IT and non-vocational courses, to take aptitude tests.

The DCE is set to introduce the PAC exam for all the students of Government and aided colleges across the State and help them take these examinations. PAC will measure the aptitude of the student's ability to perform in technical jobs within the global IT business framework.

NEED-BASED TRAINING

This move is also likely to benefit the DCE efforts to introduce need-based vocational training courses. The alliance seeks to allow students to track new technology jobs, which they would be able to tap into once they take these exams, tailored for current day requirements.

The Director of Collegiate Education, Dr.K.Lakshminarayana, in a statement said PAC has global benchmarks for evaluating workforce. This presents students with an ideal opportunity to compete on a level-playing playing field.

The National Director, PAC-India, Ms Pratima Amonkar, said PAC has tested students in more than 350 campuses across India and partnering with DCE will help PAC grow as a talent hub for Indian IT industry.

PAC's authorised emissary, Mr Vijay of Praman Infotech, said, "This is a welcome initiative of the State and the first PAC exam is scheduled to be held in December."
