Talk on S. African biz scene

Our Bureau

Kochi, Dec. 4

The Consulate-General of South Africa in Mumbai, in association with the Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Kochi, is organising a presentation on `Doing business with South Africa' on Thursday at Harbour View Residency. The objective of the presentation is to exploit the full potential of bilateral trade between South Africa and India as it has grown significantly over the past few years and has reached $3.1 billion in 2004-05. However, the figure does not reflect the full potential. The trade could easily touch $6 billion by 2007 and $ 12 billion by 2010 provided the potential is fully exploited, the statement added. Ms Buzi Kuzwayo, Consul General, Mr Sudhir Mannie, Consul (Economic), Mr Rehaan Ebrahim, Vice-Consul (Political) and Mr Rajan Kumar, Advisor (Business Development) will be present on the occasion.
