Mr K.H. Shivaswamy Aithal, Deputy General Manager, Karnataka Bank Ltd, Bangalore Region, has been promoted as General Manager.

A bank release said here on Monday that as General Manager, Mr Aithal will hold the portfolios of inspection and audit, vigilance cell, and compliance cell at head office. Mr Aithal became the Deputy General Manager in April 2001 and worked in that capacity in human resources and industrial relationship department, and development department at head office till he assumed charge of the Bangalore region in May 2005, the release added.
