COSTLY AFFAIR: Apples being displayed at a retail shop to attract consumers. Apple prices have increased sharply this year on the crop being affected in Himachal Pradesh. Currently, a box of 18 kg costs Rs 1,500 against Rs 825 at the beginning of the year. In the Wholesale Price Index of all commodities, the index for apples has increased by 167.2 points to 596.4 as on November 18.
