Rubber TOCOM fuels spot rubber Aravindan
Kottayam , Dec. 5 A bounce back in TOCOM futures fuelled the domestic rubber to finish in green on Tuesday. On the physical front, sheet rubber moved up to Rs 77 a kg from Rs 76.25 at Kottayam. Major consuming sectors restricted their purchases at Rs 76 and speculators set the trend, sources revealed. RSS 4 closed better by Re 1 at Rs 77.50 a kg at Kochi. The supply was still low, while we had more buyers, said traders from Kochi.
Futures firm
On NMCE, the last traded prices for RSS 4 were as follows. The December contract firmed up to Rs 79.78 (Rs 78.97), January to Rs 80.51 (Rs 79.17), February to Rs 82.40 (Rs 81.22) and March to Rs 83.35 (Rs 82.34) per kg while the volumes were 3,703 (2,833) lots. The open interest stood at 6,550 (6,250) tonnes. The December delivery contract closed at Rs 78.25 against Rs 78.04 a kg on MCX. Physical per kg rubber prices were: RSS-4: Rs 77 (Rs 76.25); RSS-5: Rs 75 (Rs 75); ungraded: Rs 74 (Rs 73.50); ISNR 20: Rs 74.50 (Rs 74) and latex 60 per cent: Rs 48.95 (Rs 48.40).
